Creamy Apple Squares Recipe
- 1 (18 1/2 ounce.) pkg. yellow pudding cake mix
- 1/2 c. soft butter
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3 lg. delicious apples, thin sliced and unpeeled
- 1 c. lowfat sour cream
- 1 egg
- Combine cake mix and butter; mix till crumbly.
- Reserve 2/3 c. for topping.
- Add in brown sugar and cinnamon to this reserved topping.
- Mix well.
- Set aside.
- Press remaining cake-butter mix into bottom of ungreased 9 x 13 inch pan.
- Arrange apple slices over base.
- Blend lowfat sour cream and egg; spread proportionately over apples.
- Sprinkle reserved topping mix over all.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 min or possibly till topping is golden and bubbly.
- Serve hot.
- Chill leftovers.
