Meat Qorma or Korma
- 2 -3 lbs beef or 2 -3 lbs chicken or 2 -3 lbs mutton
- 2 onions, sliced finely
- 1 onion, ground
- 1 tablespoon ginger
- 1 teaspoon garlic
- 1 12 cups plain yogurt
- assorted spices (1 cardomoms 5 Example 1 black cardomom, 3 small green peppercorns, 1 cinnamon, 5 cloves, a pinch of )
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 14 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 cup oil
- 1 tablespoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 6 almonds, grind in a coffee grinder
- 12 teaspoon kewra essence
- Heat oil, add the cinnamon stick and large cardamon stir and then add the sliced onions.
- Fry till golden in color.
- Take out the onions in a small bowl.
- Put the cinnamon stick and cardomom back in the pan and add the meat to the pan.
- Fry the meat for about 5 - 10 minutes.
- Add ginger garlic, chilly powder, turmeric, salt, corriander and cumin powder, ground onion, almond powder and rest of the spices.
- Fry or bhoono well on medium heat till oil seperates.
- Add enough water for the meat to get done.
- In a blender, blend fried onions and yogurt.
- When the meat is almost done, add the yogurt mixtures and kewra.
- Stir and leave on very low flame for about 20 mintues or so.
