Turkey Or Chicken A La King Recipe
- 1 1/2 - 2 c. cooked turkey or possibly chicken, cubed
- 1 medium onion, minced
- 2 carrots, minced
- 2 stalks celery, minced
- 1 c. frzn peas
- 1 sm. jar pimentos, liquid removed
- 1 1/2 - 2 c. lowfat milk
- 2 tbsp. flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
- In a large pot, heat 2 Tbsp.
- oil.
- Saute/fry onions, carrots, and celery till the onions are tender.
- Add in 1/2 c. water and simmer till the carrots are tender.
- Mix flour with a small amount of lowfat milk and add in to the pot.
- Add in about 1 c. of lowfat milk and all other ingredients.
- Heat till thickened.
- Add in sufficient lowfat milk to reach desired consistency.
- Serve over noodles or possibly toast.
