Cath's Chili Con Carne
- 500 g beef mince
- 1 (425 g) can baked beans
- 1 (425 g) can diced tomatoes (drained)
- 1 onion
- 3 cloves garlic (crushed)
- 4 tablespoons tomato ketchup
- 12 teaspoon basil
- 1 teaspoon Mexican chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cajun seasoning
- 4 baked potatoes (optional)
- sour cream (optional)
- grated cheese (optional)
- chopped chives (optional)
- Finely chop the onion and garlic.
- Saute the onion and garlic.
- Brown the beef mince.
- Add remaining ingredients, and simmer for about 20 minutes.
- If having with baked potatoes, serve the con carne on a baked potato, with garnishes if you wish.
