Veal Cacciatore Recipe
- 1 c. flour
- Pepper
- Salt
- 1/4 c. extra virgin olive oil
- 1 sm. onion, minced
- 1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced
- 8 ounce. tomato sauce
- 1/4 c. water
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 2 lbs. veal cubes
- 1 tbsp. parsley
- Coat veal cubes in flour, salt and pepper.
- In large skillet brown veal in oil.
- Remove veal.
- In same skillet saute/fry onion, parsley and mushrooms.
- Return veal to skillet, and add in tomato sauce and water.
- Add in basil and oregano, and simmer for 30 min covered.
