Teriyaki Chicken Burgers
- 1- 1/2 pound To 2 Pounds Ground Chicken Or Turkey, I Used 5 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast And But Them In The Food Processor To Grind Them Myself
- 1/2 cups Crushed Pineapple, You Can Used Fresh And Mash It Up Yourself
- 1/2 cups Red Onion, Diced Very Fine
- 1/2 cups Cilantro, Diced Fine
- 3 Tablespoons Teriyaki Sauce (recipe To Follow)
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoons Freshly Ground Black Pepper
- 3 cloves Garlic, Grated On Micro Plane
- 1 teaspoon Freshly Grated Ginger
- 3/4 cups Soy Sauce
- 1/2 cups Rice Wine Vinegar
- 1/4 cups To 1/2 Cup Depending On Your Taste Of Sugar
- 1/4 cups Crushed Pineapple (optional)
- 2 cloves Freshly Grated Garlic
- 1/2 teaspoons Freshly Grated Ginger
- 1/2 cups Mayonnaise
- 3 Tablespoons Teriyaki Sauce
- 6 slices Swiss Cheese
- 6 whole Buns, Rolls, Or English Muffins, Toasted
- 6 pieces Romaine Lettuce
- 1 whole Tomato, Sliced Thin
- 6 pieces Thinly Sliced Pineapple
- 1/4 cups Thinly Slice Red Onion
- For the burgers:
- Heat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Mix all burger ingredients in a large bowl and form into 6 burgers.
- Bake on baking sheet for 20 minutes.
- During the last minute, place Swiss cheese slices on burgers to melt.
- For the sauce:
- Place all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to boil.
- Then lower heat to medium and let simmer until reduced and thickened.
- For the mayo:
- Stir mayo and teriyaki sauce together.
- Assembly:
- Spread mayo mixture on the bottom half of the bun, then place a burger patty, lettuce leaf, tomato, pineapple slice, onion, and top with the top half of the bun.
- Eat!
