Grapefruit-Pineapple Soda Syrup

• 2 pink grapefruit
• 2 c. water
• 2 c. pineapple chunks
• 2 c. sugar
• .13 tsp. salt
• Seltzer

1. From pink grapefruit, cut 5 long strips peel; place in 2-quart saucepan with water.
2. Squeeze juice into blender.
3. Add pineapple chunks, sugar, and salt; blend until smooth.
4. Add to pan with peel; heat to boiling on high, stirring.
5. Cool; strain into glass pitcher.
6. Mix with seltzer.
