Shortbread Pastries

  1. Mix sugar and butter together until smooth.
  2. Add egg yolks and finally add in the flour without excessively mixing or kneading.
  3. Chill for 2 hours.
  4. Roll out to 1/2-inch depth and cut into 2-inch circles.
  5. Preheat oven to 320 degrees F.
  6. Place on a greased and floured baking tray and cook for 15 minutes until light brown.
  7. Allow to cool before moving.
  8. Serve warm with preferred topping.
