Gazpacho
- 3 c. tomato juice
- 2 c. peeled, chopped tomato
- 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can tomato soup, undiluted
- 1 1/4 c. water
- 3/4 c. peeled, chopped cucumber
- 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1/4 c. commercial Italian salad dressing
- 2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. hot sauce
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
- dash of white wine
- Worcestershire sauce
- cucumber slices
- Combine all ingredients except cucumber slices.
- Stir well. Cover and chill at least 8 hours. Ladle into large, stemmed glasses. Garnish with cucumber slices.
- Yields 9 cups.
