Apple pie
- 300 grams all-purpose flour
- 180 grams butter
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 80 ml very cold water
- 6 granny smith apples
- 1 egg
- 100 grams brown sugar
- 100 grams granulated sugar
- 45 grams all-purpose flour
- 1 lemon
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1/2 tsp (optional) pink pepper
- Put the salt and the flour in a bowl.
- Add the butter cut in diced and the water.
- Knead it with the fingertips and make 2 balls about the same size and reserve 30 minutes in the fridge.
- In a separate bowl mix the flour, the 2 kinds of sugar, the cinnamon, the pepper (if used), 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice and the egg.
- Beat until you have a fluffy cream.
- Preheat oven to 220C.
- Peel the apples, remove the seeds and cut in even pieces.
- Add to the sugar cream and mix.
- Roll 1 of the balls to cover the mold.
- Rub some butter on said bowl and then extend the mass on it.
- Stuff the insides with apples and the sugary cream.
- Roll the other ball and cover the stuffing.
- You may paint it with egg if desired.
- Bake for st least 1 hour.
