Cooked-to-Death Green Beans

  1. Put the beans, their liquid, and the ham in a large, heavy saucepan.
  2. Cook, uncovered, on medium heat for 30 minutes.
  3. The beans are ready when the liquid has cooked down.
  4. Salt pork or Goya Ham-Flavored Seasoning may be substituted for the ham hock.
