Cooked-to-Death Green Beans
- 2 quarts home-canned green beans or canned Blue Lake variety, with their liquid
- 1/2 pound cured ham hock (see Note)
- Put the beans, their liquid, and the ham in a large, heavy saucepan.
- Cook, uncovered, on medium heat for 30 minutes.
- The beans are ready when the liquid has cooked down.
- Salt pork or Goya Ham-Flavored Seasoning may be substituted for the ham hock.
