Buttermilk Fried Corn Recipe

  1. Stir together corn and buttermilk; let stand 30 min.
  2. Drain.
  3. Combine flour and next 3 ingredients in a large heavy-duty zip-top plastic bag.
  4. Add in corn to flour mix, a small amount at a time, and shake bag to coat.
  5. Pour oil to depth of 1 inch in a Dutch oven; heat to 375 degrees F. Fry corn, in small batches, 2 min or possibly till golden brown.
  6. Drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve immediately.
  8. Yield: 4 servings.
