Whole Wheat French Bread Recipe
- 1 pkg. active yeast
- 2 c. whole wheat flour
- 1 1/2 c. bread flour
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoon oil
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 c. hot water (warm to the touch)
- Bread machine: Put yeast in.
- Add in dry ingredients in layers.
- Add in wet ingredients.
- Start.
- Manual: Active yeast in hot water.
- Pour into dry ingredients.
- Knead till workable and elastic, about 10-15 min.
- Let rest and rise in towel covered bowl, in hot draft free spot about 30 min.
