Two Day German Molasses Cookies Recipe

  1. Heat butter in saucepan.
  2. Add in molasses and sugar; heat till sugar is dissolved stirring occasionally.
  3. Set aside to cold.
  4. Blend flour with remaining dry ingredients.
  5. Add in to cooled mix in fourths till blended, after each addition.
  6. Wrap dough in vapor proof material or possibly put in tupperware for 2 days to ripen.
  7. Roll out 1/4 dough at a time about 1/8 inch thick on floured surface.
  8. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375 degrees for 6-7 min.
  9. Yield: 6 dozen.
