Funnel Cake

  1. Beat eggs with milk and gradually beat in flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
  2. Beat until very smooth.
  3. Holding the opening of a funnel closed, fill the funnel with the batter.
  4. Open the end of the funnel and allow dough to run out in a stream into deep hot fat.
  5. Move the funnel to make a pattern, starting at the center of the pan and swirling batter outward in a circle.
  6. Fry for 2 or 3 minutes, or until brown.
  7. Drain on absorbent paper and sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
