Key Lime Bites

  1. In a large bowl, cream butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Beat in lime juice and peel.
  3. Combine flour and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well.
  4. Stir in nuts.
  5. Shape into 1-inch balls.
  6. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets; flatten slightly.
  7. Bake at 400 for 8-10 minutes or until bottoms are lightly browned.
  8. Remove to wire racks to cool completely.
  9. In a small bowl, combine the icing ingredients.
  10. Dip cookies in icing; allow excess to drip off.
  11. Place on a wire rack; let stand until set.
  12. Store in airtight container.
