Appetizer Meatballs Recipe
- MEATBALLS
- 1 lb grnd beef lean
- 2/3 c. evaporated lowfat milk
- 1 env onion soup mix Lipton's
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce SAUCE
- 1/2 c. onions finely minced
- 1/4 c. green peppers finely minced
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 1/2 c. barbecue sauce
- 1/2 c. catsup
- 1/8 tsp Tabasco sauce
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp garlic salt
- 1/2 tsp chili pwdr
- Mix together ingredients for the meatballs and make 1-inch balls.
- Broil 4" from the heat, without turning, for 10-12 min.
- Saute/fry the onion and green pepper in the butter.
- Add in the barbecue sauce, catsup, Tabasco sauce, sugars, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic salt and chili pwdr.
- Cook for 10-15 min.
- Add in the meatballs and simmer for 1 hour.
- NOTES : Can be transferred to a crockpot to use as a serving dish and to keep hot.
