Cute Candy Cookies

  1. Soften butter and knead until it whitens.
  2. Add sugar and mix well.
  3. Add egg yolk, milk, and vanilla extract and continue to mix.
  4. Sprinkle the dry ingredients and mix in a cut and fold motion.
  5. At a certain point, you can start mixing with a knead-like cut and fold motion.
  6. Form into a lump and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  7. Use a rolling pin, etc to smash the candy into small pieces.
  8. It'll scatter, so you can put it in a plastic bag and then smash.
  9. Once you've refrigerated the dough for 30 minutes, preheat your oven to 160C.
  10. Roll the dough out to 3 to 5mm thick and use a cookie cutter to cut shapes.

  12. Bake at 160C for 8 minutes.

  14. Try to fill in gaps as much as possible.
  15. Then bake again at 160C for 5 minutes.

  17. Let it cool on a flat surface and don't move it around.
  18. If there are any gaps in the candy, fill in with more candy bits, and bake on low heat (140C to 150C) until the gaps are filled in.
