Banana Liqueur (Long/Kibbey) Recipe
- 1 lrg Banana just ripe, peeled
- 1 x Fifth of Vodka or possibly Light Rum
- 1 1/4 c. Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 c. Water
- 1 piece Vanilla Bean 2 "
- Mash banana.
- Add in banana to vodka.
- Using wooden spoon, submerge banana mash (exposure to air will brown the banana).
- Steep 2 weeks.
- Strain, filter, add in syrup.
- Slit open vanilla bean, add in to mix.
- Age 1 month, remove bean.
- Strain and filter again as necessary.
- Age another month.
just, fifth of vodka, sugar, water, vanilla
