Simple Chicken a L'orange

  1. Salt and pepper chicken.
  2. Brown pieces in butter.
  3. Set aside leftover butter in pan.
  4. Arrange chicken pieces in a prepared large, shallow baking dish.
  5. Into remaining butter, pour frozen undiluted orange juice.
  6. Thaw, mix well, and pour over chicken.
  7. Bake at 300 degrees F for 45 minutes to 1 hour, making sure the chicken gets done.
  8. In the last 5 minutes of baking, pour slivered almonds and drained orange slices over chicken to warm.
