Meatballs in Sweet & Sour Ankake Sauce
- 250 grams Ground beef and pork mix
- 1/2 stalk Japanese leek
- 3 tbsp Panko
- 1 tbsp Milk
- 2 tbsp Katakuriko
- 1 dash Salt and pepper
- 1 1/2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 1/2 tbsp Ketchup
- 1 1/2 tbsp Sugar
- 1 1/2 tbsp Vinegar
- 1 tbsp Water (for the soup)
- 1/2 tsp Katakuriko
- 2 tsp Water
- 1 (Decorative) White sesame
- Finely chop the Japanese leeks, and soak the panko in milk.
- Add salt and pepper to the ground meat, and knead until it all sticks together, add the above-mentioned Japanese leeks, bread crumbs, and katakuriko and mix together.
- Roll into balls after mixing, and fry them in 360F/180C oil in a pan.
- Mix the seasoning.
- Take the meatballs out after they are fried, wipe the grease, add to the same pan, and turn on the heat.
- Mix the ingredients, adding a bit at a time after bringing to a boil to thicken .
- After it has thickened, return the meatballs to the pan, coat with the mixture, and you are done.
- I sprinkled white sesame on top for decoration.
