Don't Throw It Away! Breadcrumbs Made With Hardened Bread

  1. Use a grater, or cut the bread (should be very solid) into smaller pieces and then use a food processor, to make panko.
  2. If you are not using the panko straight away, put them in a plastic bag and place in the freezer.
  3. You can also preserve them in a glass jar.
  4. Use the panko in breaded beef cutlet
  5. You can prepare deep-fried eggplant and tuna "sandwiches" which these too.
  6. Bake the panko in apple crumble.
  7. They're great for crumble pie as well.
