Don't Throw It Away! Breadcrumbs Made With Hardened Bread
- 1 what you have on hand Hard bread
- Use a grater, or cut the bread (should be very solid) into smaller pieces and then use a food processor, to make panko.
- If you are not using the panko straight away, put them in a plastic bag and place in the freezer.
- You can also preserve them in a glass jar.
- Use the panko in breaded beef cutlet
- You can prepare deep-fried eggplant and tuna "sandwiches" which these too.
- Bake the panko in apple crumble.
- They're great for crumble pie as well.
