The California Steak Pie

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 375AF place your California chilies in a baking dish bake till chiles are tender and a little toasty.
  2. Once done add chiles to a zip lock bag for about 20 minutes to let them sweat.
  3. Once sweated take out pull off tops and pull off skin on them.
  4. Open them up and take out seeds, chop and set aside
  5. Now preheat oven to 400AF, place a springform pan on a baking dish and spray your springform well with cooking spray.
  6. Now dice your steak cook with tbspn oil, your 2 cloves of minced garlic and your diced onion.
  7. Add a lil garlic salt as desired.
  8. Cook steak till just about done let cool set aside.
  9. In a small bowl add your flour and baking powder mix lightly.
  10. Now in a large bowl add in your eggs with milk and cooled melted butter scramble well.
  11. Now add in your flour mixture, seasonings and combine well.
  12. Now add your cooled steak and 2 cups of cheese incorporate well.add your chunky mixture to springform.
  13. Bake for 17 minutes, lower down heat to 350 add your 1/2 cup of cheese to top and bake another 29 to 30 minutes.
  14. Check that your piece comes out clean by poking with a knife.
  15. Let cool for 20-30 minutes
  16. Now top with your toppings of choice enjoy!
