Butterscotch Liqueur Recipe

  1. Make a simple syrup by bringing sugar and water to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly to prevent scorching.
  2. When clear, remove from heat and let stand till just hot.
  3. Pour into a clean 1 qt container, add in brandy, vodka, flavoring, and food coloring.
  4. Cover and shake vigorously to blend.
  5. Let stand in a cold, dark place for 1 month before serving.
  6. Yield approx.
