Stuffed Shells or Manicotti..Chef's Choice!
- 1 package Jumbo shells OR 1-2 pkg of Egg Roll Wrappers (in refrigerator section)
- 2-3 Bottles of your favorite Pasta or Marinara sauce. (Our family like Classico Spicy Red Pepper or Arrabiata)
- Lots of Grated or shredded Parmesan Cheese
- Cover bottom of a 9 x 13 casserole pan with Pasta sauce.
- Fillings:
- Meat Saute Italian sausage, drain fat.
- Add onion and garlic and saute until moisture is gone.
- Add spinach and cook until tender.
- Remove from heat and add salt and pepper to taste When cool, add grated mozzarella cheese.
- Combine well.
- Cheese: Combine all ingredients
- Shells: Boil shell noodles according to package instructions; drain and cool with cold water.
- Stuff 1/2 shells with meat mixture and 1/2 with ricotta cheese mixture.
- Put in casserole dish covered with pasta sauce.
- Cover shells with more sauce and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
- Manicotti: Open package of egg roll wrappers and lay on dinner plate
- Bake for 30 to 45 minutes at 350F (180C) or until shells are very hot.
