Cornbread

  1. Soften the butter.
  2. Mix the milk and the eggs.
  3. Set these aside.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, mix the dry ingredients.
  5. Stir in the milk mixture and the softened butter.
  6. Mix thoroughly but do not beat.
  7. Pour into an ungreased 9 x 13 baking pan.
  8. Bake 1 hour at 325 degrees.
  9. In a small bowl, mix together the honey and butter.
  10. After the cornbread has baked and while it is hot, coat with the honey and butter mixture.
  11. Let set for 15 minutes minimum before serving.
  12. This cornbread is even better the next day if there is any left!
