Raspberry Jam Cake
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 packages walnuts chopped
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup seedless raspberry jam
- 1/2 cup chopped dates
- 1/2 cup cocoanut
- sift together flour , salt , baking soda
- cream together butter and sugar
- thoroughly beat in eggs one at a time
- stir in sifted ingredients alternately with buttermilk and jam
- fold in cocoa nut and walnuts
- pour into 2 round 8 inch greased and floured pans
- bake at 350F for 30 to 35 minutes
- fill and cover with your favorite frosting
