Raspberry Jam Cake

  1. sift together flour , salt , baking soda
  2. cream together butter and sugar
  3. thoroughly beat in eggs one at a time
  4. stir in sifted ingredients alternately with buttermilk and jam
  5. fold in cocoa nut and walnuts
  6. pour into 2 round 8 inch greased and floured pans
  7. bake at 350F for 30 to 35 minutes
  8. fill and cover with your favorite frosting
