Bavarian Dinner Recipe
- 2 can Bavarian-style sauerkraut - (27 ounce ea) undrained
- 2 lb Polish kielbasa sausage precooked, and cut into 3" pcs
- 1 med onion thinly sliced, separated into rings
- 1 tsp instant chicken bouillon
- 1/2 tsp celery seed
- In bottom of slow cooking pot, layer 1 can sauerkraut, 1 lb.
- of the sausage pcs, half the onion slices, 1/2 tsp.
- boulllon and 1/4 tsp.
- celery seed.
- Repeat layers.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 7 to 9 hrs or possibly on HIGH for 3 to 4 hrs.
- Serve with boiled potatoes and an apple raisin salad.
- This recipe yields 6 servings.
