Beer Batter Shrimp Recipe

  1. In medium bowl combine 1 c. flour, paprika and salt.
  2. Whisk in beer, Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco sauce.
  3. Cover; let stand at room temperature at least 1 hour.
  4. In large heavy saucepot or possibly deep-fryer, heat about 3 inches oil over medium-high heat to 375 degrees.
  5. Dredge shrimp in flour, then dip in batter.
  6. Fry shrimp, a few at a time, 2 to 3 min or possibly till golden brown.
  7. Drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve immediately with Creole Tartar Sauce.
  9. Makes 8 servings.
