Spicy Chicken and Avocado Rice Bowl
- 1 bowl Plain cooked rice
- 1/2 to 1 thigh Chicken thigh
- 1/2 Avocado
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 2 tbsp Cooking sake
- 1 tbsp Mirin
- 1 Red chili pepper
- 1 Salt and pepper
- 1 as much (to taste) Green onion or scallion
- 1 White sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
- Cut the chicken and avocado into 3 cm cubes.
- Season the chicken with salt and pepper and massage the seasonings in.
- Finely chop the red chili pepper and green onions.
- Heat some oil in a frying pan and pan fry the chicken on both sides until golden brown.
- When it's done wipe out the extra oil in the frying pan, add the ingredients marked (soy sauce, sugar, cooking sake, mirin and chili pepper) and simmer over medium heat.
- When the sauce has thickened enough to cling to the chicken, add the avocado and sesame seeds and stir in.
- Serve the mixture from Step 3 on top of a bed of rice in a bowl.
- You can also just put the chicken and avocado on top of rice, cook down the sauce more so it's thicker.
- Pour it over everything - it's delicious!
