Steamed Mixed Mushroom Wontons

  1. In a medium bowl, combine mushrooms, basil, onion, kecap manis and garlic.
  2. Using an 8cm cutter, cut rounds from each wonton wrapper.
  3. Place 2 teaspoons of mushroom mixture in the centre of each round.
  4. Brush edges of wontons with water.
  5. Fold in half to form a semicircle.
  6. Pleat or pinch edges together to form a frill.
  7. Line a large bamboo steamer with baking paper.
  8. Space wontons apart in steamer.
  9. Place over a pan of gently boiling water.
  10. Steam, covered, for 4-5 minutes until translucent and tender.
  11. Serve immediately with soy sauce.
