Barley Jamsetti Recipe
- 1 c. barley (boil 1/2 hour and drain)
- 1 minced green pepper
- 2 c. diced celery
- 1 sm. can tomato paste
- 1 sm. can peas with liquid
- 1 pound grnd beef
- 1 minced onion
- 1 can tomato soup plus 1 can water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Mushrooms and pimento are optional
- Brown meat and onions in butter.
- Add in celery and green pepper, cook a few min.
- Add in rest of ingredients and put into a casserole dish.
- Cover and bake 1 1/2 hrs at 325 degrees or possibly 1 hour at 350 degrees.
