Big Boy Strawberry Pie

• 1 each pie shell (9 inch) baked, deep dish
• 4 cups strawberries cleaned, hulled
• 1 cup sugar
• 3 tablespoons cornstarch
• 1 cup water
• 1/2 cup water
• 1 package gelatin, unflavored strawberry

1. Combine sugar and 1 cup water in a saucepan, bring to boil.
2. Stir in paste of cornstarch and 1/2 cup water.
3. Boil gently until clear and thick.
4. Stir in strawberry gelatin.
5. Cool a little.
6. Either arrange strawberries in shell and pour cooled mixture over all, or FOLD strawberries into cooled mixture and pour all into pie shell.
7. Chill and serve with whipped cream.
