Potato Smother

  1. In a Dutch Oven, over med.
  2. high heat saute salt pork or bacon until crisp.
  3. Then start your layers.
  4. Potatoes.
  5. Onions.
  6. 1 Tbs.
  7. Flour.
  8. (sprinkle over potatoes/onions).
  9. Salt/pepper to taste.
  10. Repeat layers.
  11. Then add just enough water to come to half-way (Do Not cover potatoes).
  12. Cover and cook on medium heat until potatoes are done.It will make its own creamy like gravy.
  13. Good with meatloaf, etc.
