Salt Water Taffy Recipe
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 2 teaspoon glycerine
- Flavoring and food coloring
- 1 c. corn syrup
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoon butter
- Combine sugar, water, salt, syrup and glycerine in heavy saucepan.
- Stir over heat till sugar is dissolved.
- Cook to 260 degrees without stirring.
- Remove from heat; add in butter and pour onto oiled surface (breadboard).
- Cold till comfortable to handle.
- Color and flavor and pull.
- Cut into pcs and wrap individually.
