Beer & Kraut Brats

  1. Cook bacon in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat for 5 minutes or until the bacon is crisp.
  2. Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  3. Pour off drippings.
  4. Add bratwurst and cook until it's well browned.
  5. Add beer, soup, brown sugar, sauerkraut and bacon.
  6. Heat to a boil.
  7. Reduce the heat to low.
  8. Cook for 15 minutes or until the bratwurst reaches an internal temperature of 160F stirring the mixture a few times while it's cooking.
  9. Serve over mashed potatoes or noodles.
