All American Chili Recipe
- 1 lb lean grnd beef or possibly grnd turkey
- 1 can red kidney beans - (15 ounce) undrained
- 1 can tomato sauce - (8 ounce)
- 1 Tbsp. white vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. McCormick Chili Pwdr
- 2 Tbsp. McCormick Instant Chopped Onion
- 1 tsp sugar (optional)
- 1/4 tsp McCormick Garlic Salt Sliced scallions if you like Dairy lowfat sour cream if you like Shredded Cheddar Cheese to garnish
- Cook meat in 3-qt saucepan over medium-high heat 4 to 5 min or possibly till no longer pink, stirring constantly.
- Drain off excess fat.
- Stir in beans, tomato sauce, vinegar, chili pwdr, chopped onion, sugar if using, and garlic salt.
- Heat just to boil, reduce heat immediately, cover, and simmer 20 min, stirring occasionally.
- Serve topped with sliced scallions and dairy lowfat sour cream.
- Garnish with shredded Cheddar cheese.
- This recipe yields 4 servings, 1 c. each.
