Mashed Potatoes with Celery

  1. Cook potatoes, sliced celery, garlic, and bay leaves in pot of boiling salted water until potatoes are tender, about 12 minutes.
  2. Drain potatoes.
  3. Return to same pot; remove bay leaves.
  4. Add cream and butter and mash well.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Rewarm over low heat, stirring occasionally.
  7. Transfer potato mixture to bowl; sprinkle with chopped celery leaves.
