Oatcakes

  1. Combine all of the dry ingredients.
  2. Add margarine to the dry mixture until crumbly.
  3. Melting the margarine helps.
  4. Add egg, vanilla, and water.
  5. Form into a dough.
  6. Divide the dough into 16 bars, approximately 1/2 inch thick.
  7. Bake at 350F for 15 minutes on a parchment-lined cookie sheet.
  8. Flip them over and bake for another 10 minutes.
