Inside-Out Stuffed Shells
- 3/4 pounds Ground Beef
- 1/2 whole Medium Onion, Diced
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Salt, Divided
- 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
- 6 ounces, weight Cream Cheese
- 6 ounces, weight Shredded Mozzarella Cheese, Divided
- 8 ounces, weight Large Pasta Shells
- 2 cups Water (for Boiling Pasta)
- 12 ounces, fluid Spaghetti Sauce
- 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a skillet, brown ground beef and onions over medium heat.
- Season with salt, pepper, half of the garlic salt, and Italian seasonings.
- Drain liquid from beef mixture when done.
- Cube cream cheese and melt in the skillet with the beef mixture.
- Melt 1/3 of the mozzarella cheese in the mix.
- While cheeses are melting, cook shells in boiling water until they reach desired tenderness.
- In an 8x8 dish, spread the beef mixture on the bottom of the pan.
- Drizzle about 4 ounces of spaghetti sauce on top.
- When the shells are cooked, toss with olive oil and the remaining garlic salt.
- Layer on top of the beef mixture.
- Sprinkle the rest of the mozzarella cheese on top of the shells and cover with spaghetti sauce.
- Place foil on top of the dish and bake in the oven for 30 minutes.
