Chocolate Banana Mousse
- 1 tsp Gelatin powder
- 1 Banana
- 1 tbsp Rum
- 1 Egg yolk
- 30 grams Sugar
- 150 ml Milk
- 50 grams Milk chocolate
- 200 ml Heavy cream
- Soak the gelatin powder in 1 tablespoon of water.
- Mash the banana with a fork, and sprinkle rum.
- Finely chop the chocolate.
- Add the egg yolk and sugar to a bowl, and mix well with a whisk.
- Add the milk little by little, and blend in.
- Put the bowl on medium low heat, and warm the mixture without letting it boil.
- Remove from the heat.
- Add the chocolate and melt it while stirring with a wooden spatula.
- Microwave the Step 1 gelatin (for about 30 seconds at 600W), and dissolve.
- Add it to the bowl little by little while mixing well with the whisk.
- Add the banana to Step 3, and mix well.
- Put the bowl over ice-cold water, and mix until the mixture has thickened.
- Whip the heavy cream in a different bowl until soft peaks form, then add it to the main bowl and mix well.
- Pour into cups, and chill in the fridge to harden.
