January Crockpot Turkey Chili
- 1 whole Large Sweet White Onion
- 2 teaspoons Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 pound Ground Turkey
- 1 teaspoon Sea Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 can Small Red Beans (15.5 Oz Can)
- 1 can Pink Beans (15.5 Oz Can)
- 1 can Crushed Tomatoes (28oz. Can)
- 1 can Tomatoes With Green Chiles, Like Ro-tel (10oz Can)
- 1 can Tomato Sauce (15 Oz Can)
- 2 Tablespoons Josephine's Chili Seasoning (see My TastyKitchen Recipe Box)
- 2 teaspoons Maple Syrup
- 1 teaspoon Red Wine Vinegar
- 1.
- Peel, then cut the onion in half.
- Chop half of the onion and put it in a large pan with the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add ground turkey, salt and pepper.
- Brown the turkey with the onion.
- Once the turkey is fully browned and onion is soft, add the mixture into a large slow cooker/crockpot.

- Chop the other half of the onion and add it into the crockpot with the ground turkey.
- Drain and rinse both cans of beans in a colander and then add the beans into the slow cooker.
- Add the crushed tomatoes, tomatoes with green chiles, tomato sauce, chili seasoning, maple syrup and red wine vinegar.
- Stir to combine and put the lid on.

- Set the slow cooker/crockpot to cook for 3 hours on high (or 6 hours on low).
