Blackberry Angel Food Cake Recipe

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat egg whites till frothy; beat in cream of tartar till soft peaks form.
  2. Add in the extracts.
  3. Gradually beat in sugar till stiff, scraping bowl occasionally.
  4. Sift flour over beaten whites; sprinkle with berries.
  5. Gently fold flour and Blackberries into batter till well mixed.
  6. Pour into an ungreased 10-in.
  7. tube pan.
  8. Bake at 325 degrees for 40-45 min or possibly till lightly browned and entire top appears dry.
  9. Immediately invert cake pan; cold completely, about 1 hour.
  10. Yield: 16servings.
