Ukrainian Chestnut Stuffing

  1. Make a slit in each chestnut shell with pointed knife.
  2. Bake the nuts in a hot oven 400F for 15 minutes, or boil them for the same length of time in water to cover, then drain.
  3. Remove the shells and the brown skin.
  4. Mash the chestnuts and combine with the remaining ingredients.
