Easy Hot Cheese Pita Pockets Recipe
- 8 tomato slices
- 2 whole wheat pita bread rounds, cut in half
- 1/4 pound Velveeta cheese, cubed
- 1/4 pound meat slices, cut into strips (can use ham, roast beef, chicken or possibly turkey)
- 1/2 c. broccoli flowerets
- 1/4 c. bean sprouts
- 1/4 c. shredded carrots
- 1 tbsp. green onion slices
- 1/2 c. plain yogurt
- 2 teaspoon spicy brown mustard
- Place tomato slices in pita bread.
- Toss together cheese, meat, broccoli, bean sprouts, carrots and green onion.
- Fill each pita bread with 1/2 c. vegetable mix.
- Microwave on High 3 to 5 min or possibly till cheese begins to heat.
- Serve with combined yogurt and mustard.
- Makes 4 sandwiches.
- Prep Time: 15 min.
- Cooking Time: 5 min.
