Chocolate Dipped Apples

  1. Wash and dry apples; insert stick into stem end of each apple.
  2. Microwave caramels and water in deep microwavable bowl on HIGH 2 to 3 minutes or until caramels are melted and mixture is smooth, stirring every minute.
  3. Dip apples into hot caramel mixture; turn until well coated.
  4. Scrape excess from bottoms of apples.
  5. Roll bottom halves in nuts.
  6. Place on greased tray.
  7. Refrigerate at least 15 minutes.
  8. Microwave chocolate and margarine in deep microwavable bowl on HIGH 2 to 3 minutes until chocolate is almost melted, stirring halfway through heating time.
  9. Stir until chocolate is completely melted.
  10. Drizzle apples generously with chocolate.
  11. Let stand on waxed paper-lined tray until chocolate is firm.
  12. Store dipped apples in refrigerator up to two weeks.
