Kesari Khoya-Nut Barfi

  1. Combine all the ingredients except the edible silver foil in a flat, greased microwave dish.
  2. Microwave on HIGH for 5 minutes.
  3. Stir well.
  4. Flatten with a greased knife.
  5. Garnish with edible silver foil.
  6. Set aside to cool down to room temperature.
  7. Cover the dish with a transparent cling-film wrap.
  8. Refrigerate overnight.
  9. On the afternoon that follows, cut the barfi into desired shapes.
  10. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator and serve as desired.
  11. Note: Mawa can be substituted for khoya in this recipe.
