Sunflower Wild Bird Treat
- 1 cup quick oats
- 3/4 cup yellow cornmeal
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup peanut butter (crunchy or smooth)
- 3/4 cup sunflower seeds (I use black oil sunflower since it's smaller, but you can buy striped sunflower & use less)
- 1 cup millet or small bird seed
- Place all dry ingredients into a large bowl.
- Add peanut butter and water.
- Mix well.
- Add more water if necessary to make the dough stiff.
- Spread into a 9 X 13 inch pan.
- Cut into 2 inch by 4 inch bars.
- Leave bars in the pan before cooking.
- Bake at 250 for 20 minutes.
- Leave bars in pan to cool.
- Cut into bars along cut lines.
- Feed birds 1 or 2 bars.
- Keep the rest of the bars refrigerated until needed.
