The Incredible Edible Poached Egg
- 2 large room temperature eggs.
- 1 pinch ground black pepper
- 1 pinch Himalayan pink salt
- 1 large deep skillet
- 1 water to fill skillet half way
- 1/4 tsp table salt
- 1 slotted spoon
- Heat water in skillet over medium high heat until small bubbles form in water.
- The start of a boil.
- Lower heat to medium and let water come between a simmer and a low boil.
- Crack eggs into heat safe small cups( ramekins) One egg per cup.
- With the tip of the cup just in the water, justly slide eggs out of cup.
- Use your slotted spoon to fold any egg white over on top of yolks.
- Simmer for 1 minute 30 seconds.
- Remove each egg with slotted spoon.
- You can take a small knife and trim any white that doesn't stay in the form of the egg.
- Place eggs onto whatever you wish to top with a good poached egg.
- Whites are fully cooked while yolks are creamy and drip down your favorite dish.
