Creamed Chipped Beef Over Potatoes Recipe
- 1 pkg. dry beef
- 2 tbsp. chopped onion
- 1/4 c. flour
- 3/4 c. whipping cream
- 1/4 teaspoon grnd ginger
- Baking potatoes
- 3/4 c. boiling water
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 c. warm chicken broth
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard
- 2 tbsp. sherry
- Put beef in boiling water.
- Let stand for 5 min.
- Drain and chop.
- Saute/fry onions in butter about 5 min.
- Stir in flour, cook stirring till thick.
- Reduce heat.
- Stir in beef, cream, mustard, ginger.
- Cook till smooth over low heat.
- Stir in sherry.
